CANCELLED Climate Neutrality by 2050: A Pathway for Industry

Wednesday, March 11, 2020 - 09:00 to 17:30
Atelier29, Rue Jacques de Lalaing 29, Brussels

We are extremely disappointed to inform you that, due to events beyond our control, this event has now been cancelled. We have taken this decision in consultation with the European Commission and with public health concerns firmly in mind.

Concerns about the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) had already led to a number of cancellations, making it difficult for the event to proceed as planned.

We hope to reschedule this event for a date (tbc) later in the year. In the meantime, please accept our sincere apologies and please keep an eye on our website for notification of future events.

CCUS Projects Network

The European CCUS Projects Network invites you to its first public event, an expert discussion on industrial transition options. In light of the European Union’s increased climate ambitions for 2030 and 2050, and the recent European Green Deal, an ambitious yet realistic strategy to decarbonise Europe’s industries while maintaining competitiveness is required.

This event aims to discuss different technology options (including CCUS, hydrogen, electrification and bioenergy) and policy frameworks. It will bring together top speakers from industry, the public sector and NGOs to present and debate different perspectives on the pathway to climate neutrality.

The event aims to encourage an interactive exchange of opinions between audience and speakers. For this reason, it is aimed primarily at an informed and involved audience. This event is free to attend.

To reserve your spot, please register here.

**Corona virus (COVID-19) advice**

We welcome your participation in our event in Brussels on 11 March. We have received some questions from participants on the Corona virus (COVID-19) and would like to update you on the (limited) impact of the virus on the conference.

We have and will strictly follow the instructions from the health authorities and so far there is no indication that conferences in Brussels should be cancelled. We will continue to monitor all relevant information carefully but at this point the conference will take place as planned. Should advice change, then we will update you as required.

Note: For those people who have recently travelled and visited one of the known high risk areas we kindly ask you to take personal responsibility and NOT come to the conference.

We are looking forward our first public event for the network, see you all there.
