On 23-24 May Alla Shogenova and Kazbulat Shogenov from TalTech (WP3 leader) and Cathrine Ringstad from SINTEF (WP1 leader) participated in the 2nd European Underground Energy Storage Workshop (UESW) in Paris and made three oral and one poster presentation acknowledging the CCUS ZEN project.
Fifty researchers and industrial stakeholders from 25 countries, including EU countries, Norway, UK, Turkey, Albania, North Macedonia and USA, took part in the workshop.
2nd European Underground Energy Storage Workshop was organised by the ENeRG network (CCUS ZEN networking partner), COST Action Geothermal-DHC and EuroGeoSurveys and supported by AVALON International and DEEP.KBB companies.
Alla Shogenova, as a member of the Organising Committee of the UESW and the ENeRG Ex-President (2022-2023) took a key role in the event organization. Alla and Kazbulat made two oral and one poster presentations acknowledging CCUS ZEN project.
Alla Shogenova and Kazbulat Shogenov made two oral presentations in the first session, including “Carbon neutral technologies and need for energy storage” and poster presentations “New synergy concept of geothermal energy recovery, CO2 and green hydrogen geological storage in the Baltic offshore structure” presented by Kazbulat Shogenov.
Catherine Ringstad presented CCUS ZEN project with presentation “Identification of Promising CCUS Clusters in the Baltic and Mediterranean Regions (CCUS ZEN Project)” made in the Session 2 on 23rd May.
